Between Mosaic and Future: The Gold Inside

RAVENNA, Italy

Intro
THE GOLD INSIDE

In the heart of Ravenna, THE GOLD INSIDE reinterprets an early 20th-century building, transforming it into an architecture that merges history and modernity. The original masonry becomes a silent treasure chest, capable of enclosing a pure and essential volume, where light, filtered through extruded glass, shapes the interior spaces and offers ever-changing glimpses of the city. The layout revolves around a central core that integrates functions and circulation, ensuring fluidity between the entrance, living area, and kitchen, extending to the bedrooms overlooking the courtyard.

Every piece of furniture is custom-designed by PRIMOPIANO CUCINE, in harmony with the architectural language of the project, to enhance the balance between aesthetics and functionality.

Beyond its form, the project stands out for its ethical essence: built according to the Passive House standard, it produces more energy than it consumes, representing a model of sustainable and responsible living.

A work that preserves urban memory and, at the same time, reveals within it a golden heart of innovation and timeless beauty.

Every element has been custom-designed according to the Kitchen By You philosophy, which places the person and their daily experience at the center. Nothing is left to chance: proportions, materials, and lighting interact to create a kitchen that is not just a functional space, but a true expression of self, capable of transforming every gesture into emotion.

#KitchenByYou, when the kitchen talks about you.

Equilibrium of light, material, and proportion

In this project PRIMOPIANO CUCINE designs an environment where functionality becomes elegance. The graphite-toned surfaces interact with natural light, absorbing and reflecting it with varying intensity throughout the day; the result is an atmosphere that is both essential and refined.

The architecture of the space is defined by two perfectly symmetrical column blocks. The matte graphite doors give depth and rigor, while the Focos Vulcano porcelain stoneware worktop introduces an elegant and resistant materiality, consistent with the character of the home.

In front of the left block stands the table: a marble top with bold veining, supported by a black metal frame. Completing it are seats in a delicate green shade with a bronzed frame, which warm up the graphite palette and create a welcoming contrast.

The other block, instead, interacts with an equipped island. The countertop houses an induction hob with a built-in retractable hood, maintaining visual purity and maximum efficiency of use. Sociability is ensured by three tall stools, coordinated with the table seats, which transform the island into a meeting place between preparation and conversation.

This kitchen fits into the The Gold Inside project as a perfect expression of the balance between architecture and interior design: a contemporary space that interprets materials with precision, reflecting the same dialogue between innovation, memory, and quality that characterizes the entire project.
